Greetings to the Leland Middle School community,
I am both honored and blessed to begin my Principalship at Leland Middle School in December of 2024. It is my goal for us to work together to help all of our students succeed. I look forward to fostering relationships with our school community and families, as this will help create a pathway for student success.
I am a Kansas native, but have lived in Southeast North Carolina since 2012. I have received two different Master’s degrees from Pittsburg State University, one in Educational Leadership and the other in Health and Human Performance. Before coming to Brunswick County Schools during the summer of 2024, I spent the past 12 years working in Pender County Schools, including 6 years as a Middle School Principal. This will be my 2nd full year as Principal at Leland Middle, and I am excited and honored to further support our school community. Throughout my professional career as an Educator, I have spent the majority of my career teaching students in grades 5-8. My wife and I reside in Hampstead with our 3 kids.
I will bring high expectations for our students, the Leland community, and myself. I believe in accountability for students and staff, with a focus on bringing our best efforts every day. I look forward to creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment that is focused on excellence at all times. I am looking forward to a great 2026 and beyond! Let’s Go, Tigers!
